I think my favorite way to do large groups of staff for websites and such is to shoot them all individually, then layer the image. It gives several benefits.
-not everyone needs to be present at once
-it’s easy to manage growth and attrition in the photo going forward
– normalizes assorted heights
-everyone can look their best in one image
-good even lighting on all people
